The Bible assures us: Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalms 34:18). And James 1:13 confirms that “for with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.” Therefore, it is unthinkable for God to be associated with any type of wickedness, especially any causes of our pain, suffering, and grief. |

I am so sorry for your loss and I know that it is never easy to lose a loved one. May you find comfort in God’s promise found in Revelation 21:4 where he says “he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This verse has always given me some peace, but especially when I experienced loss. Hopefully it can do the same for your family.
