Posted by: Gail Kersey Barwick Sat October 17, 2015 | I have known Mr. George since I was a teenager. He and Mrs. Doris were the sweetest couple I know. I love them both very much. My heart goes out to their family. |
Posted by: Greg James and Mary James Sat October 17, 2015 | So sorry to hear about Mr. Fant. He was such a great guy. I always enjoyed talking baseball with him. I remember how supportive he was back when we played high school baseball. And to this day he would love talking about the baseball program at Vidalia. And my how he loved to talk about his family. He was just such an upbeat guy that enjoyed life. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. |
Posted by: Jackie Castleman Sat October 17, 2015 | Dear Doris, Robby & Barry,
I just read George's obituary and am so sad for another loss in your family circle. The ten years we were neighbors were some of the best years of my family's lives and I have so many positive memories of all of you. George was one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth, genuine people I've known. He had a quick wit and ready smile and leaves you Robby & Barry, with a well-respected name to carry on. I know how proud he must've been to see you as successful adults. Doris, my heart goes out to you because you've been through life's greatest losses: the loss of two children and, now, the loss of your husband. The days ahead will be challenging, but with God's help and the help of those closest to you, you can make it -- one day at a time. You'll be in my prayers and thoughts daily. Please call me if I can help in any way. I won't be able to make the service tomorrow but will say a prayer for y'all at 2:00. I love you! |
