My heart and prayers go out to you.  I have known Howard since I was a little girl. He gave me my first bicycle and taught me the difference between "can" and "may."  We have regarded him as part of our family, as you know, and all of you are so precious to us.  We will be coming to Vidalia and look forward to being with you and hugging you.  May the God of all comfort bring comfort to each of you.  What an incredible, honorable, generous, servant-hearted man was Howard G. Hill.  He is in a good place now, and we will see him again.  I love you all.

Thu February 02, 2017 Howard was a true friend from the day that I met him in October 10, 2005. Howard and I worked for Trane and Howard was there for me through the thick and the thin. Inspirational is the word that defines Howard, to me. I have never met anyone who dedicated so much of time to his community and to others that he knew.

Many of my co-workers have mentioned "DIRTFT" - Do It Right The First Time - mainly pertaining to our working environment. Howard was: "DIRET" - Do It Right Every Time!

I am asking myself how Vidalia can have another Air Show without Howard right in the middle of it? I hope that maybe the next show can have a tribute to Howard with something like a fly over or maybe his name in the show's name.

Thank you Howard for all the things that you showed me how to do right: Every Time!

Thu February 02, 2017 I am truly sorry to hear of your loss.  I worked at Trane with Howard and he was a out going person.  He cared about everyone that worked around him.  I no longer work at Trane but when he seen me he would always say hi.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Thu February 02, 2017 I was shocked to hear the news of Howard's passing. As a fellow Trane employee, I had the pleasure of working with Howard and he is not someone that people easily forget. Friendly, courteous, and dedicated are only some of the qualities he possessed. But, what stands out the most to me was his servant's heart. The Air Shows, Chamber of Commerce, various charities, volunteer firefighting, and first responders are only a handful of examples of his desire to help others. I cannot think of another who compares.

My thoughts and prayers will be with his family.

Thu February 02, 2017 My deepest condolences to the family. Howard was one of my co-workers at Trane, and we worked a lot together through the years on various projects. I always enjoyed working with Howard. You could certainly count on him to do the right thing in whatever situation that came up. He also made sure us out-of-town visitors were well taken care of - a very hospitable gentleman. He will be missed.

Mon July 16, 2018 It has taken me over a year to have the courage to write. Every day I sit here and miss Howard. I still have his obituary hanging on my dresser mirror, which is where it will always be. Every once in a while the song lyrics that we sung at his funeral fall out of the pamphlet and I see it as a sign of he's with me. I did not know Howard long, but in the time that I did know him, he taught me so much and inspired me so many times. Howard and I met in EMT class at Southeastern Technical College there in Vidalia. I am pretty sure the whole class looked to him as a father figure, because even he would correct our instructor if something was wrong in the book. Or if he thought there was a better way of doing something. In such a short time, Howard became so very important to me! When the class found out what was going on, I texted him, and told him that he was in my thoughts and my prayers and I proceeded to give him a bible quote. Each day after that i sent him a bible verse! Then, the day after my birthday, Howard passed away! I sent him a bible verse that day, and I never knew if he read it. I still can`t delete his number out of my phone. One of the days that I messaged Howard, he told me to "Study hard, and I will be looking forward to hearing you on the radio." My very first clinical call that we had, I had to call into the hospital. Even though, Howard had already passed, I know he heard me! I know the loss of Howard is not easy for anyone. I want to give my deepest condolences to his wife, his three daughters, and the rest of his family. Howard will forever be a part of my life, my heart, my soul. Howard G. Hill watch over us all and keep us safe on every call!
