Mr. Enoch Noah “Preacher” Farmer, age 88, of Vidalia, died early Wednesday morning, December 9, 2020 at Meadows Health of Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Moultrie, living most of his life in Toombs County. He was a retired meat cutter and a Veteran of the United States Army. Noah was Church of God by Faith and a member of Pendleton Creek Community Church.
Noah was preceded in death by his parents; fourteen brothers and sisters; three grandchildren; and his wife of 34 years, Betty Ruth Lawrence Farmer.
Noah is survived by four sons, Michael Farmer (Sherry) of Fairview, N.C., Rex Farmer (Melissa) of Vidalia, Travis Farmer (Marcia) of Vidalia, and Gregory Farmer (Kim) of Vidalia; and two daughters, Lisa Young (John) of Vidalia, and Linda Love (Emory) of Empire, Alabama. Sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Enoch Noah “Preacher” Farmer will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 2:00pm at Lyons City Cemetery with Pastor John Young Sr. officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening, December 10, 2020, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
