Mrs. Senora Kathleen “Tat” Fennell, age 87 of Mt. Vernon passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 after an extended illness. Tat was a native of Wheeler County and lived most of her life in Mt. Vernon. She was born February 13, 1933. Tat worked at Ailey Manufacturing Company in Ailey for over 40 years before retiring to work another 20 years at Montgomery County Senior Citizen Center as director. Tat was a member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years.
She was the daughter of the late Austin N. Davis and Matra Lee “Memusie” Gillis Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Francis Fennell; her son, Anthony Wayne “Tony” Fennell; her sister, Effie D. Richardson; and her brother, Austin Estelle Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Fennell; one grandson, Timothy H. Fennell and wife Laura Barnes Fennell; two great-grandsons, Johnathan Dyllan Fennell and wife Cheyenne, and Anthony Gavin Fennell; one sister, Betty Jane Massey; and one sister-in-law, Eleene O’Quinn Davis. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Senora Kathleen “Tat” Fennell will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Arnold Raj officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, September 18, 2020 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Ronnie L Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.

Prayers to you all. Tat was one of a kind, I was blessed to know her through the AAA. I work at the Senior Center in Rochelle and loomed forward to our quarterly meetings.
