Deepest sympathy to Billie June and family. James will be missed by so many whose lives he touched. We will always remember what a wonderful neighbor he was, and we will always think of the interesting conversations we had on our trips to St. Simons. James was such a Christian gentleman, and we know he has left a lasting legacy for his children and grands. Our lives are much richer for our time knowing James and Billie June.

What a fine man. He was soo loved by many which included my family. My mother, Sara Register, was heart broken when she found out he was low and then when he died. As a family he had been a part of our lives for many many years. Just last year we saw him at Center Church's homecoming. I thoroughly enjoyed his musings on facebook and his pictures. I also remember his writing for the local newspapers. He so loved the Lord and his wife, Billie June. I know he will be missed by all and I pray that God wrap his loving arms around each and every one of you as you say your final good bye here on earth to know that one day there will be a hello again.

Billie June and family,
My prayers and thoughts go out to each of you. As long as I can remember, it was always James Ellis and Billie June when anyone was talking about the family, never just one. I have fond memories of attending many Vacation Bible Schools with him, both at Hammond and Normantown. He was a real role model for many kids as we grew up in the country. May God continue to bless you as you travel the journey ahead.
