Mrs. Rosalind New Page, age 76, of Vidalia, died Tuesday night at Community Hospice of Vidalia, after a brief illness. Rosalind was a native and lifelong resident of Vidalia. Rosalind was a mother and grandmother. She was a rural letter carrier for many years serving the dirt road homes of the county. She was a member of the Vidalia Tea Party Patriots and attended the Vidalia First Baptist church. Rosalind loved everyone that she came in contact with and never met a stranger. Rosalind always welcomed a spirited political conversation or debate. Her love for her family and friends, was known to all and she will deeply be missed.
Rosalind is preceded in death by her father Kenneth New and a brother Danny New.
Rosalind is survived by one son, Craig (Michele) Page of Greenville SC, one daughter Keely (Kelvin) Taylor of Birmingham AL, Her mother Elizabeth New of Vidalia GA, two brothers David New of Tyrone GA, Darrel New of Vidalia, GA, two sisters Martha Ann Tanner of Statesboro GA, Angela Harrell, of Hazlehurst GA, two grandchildren Dagny and Nandry Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalind New Page, will be Friday December 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Ronnie L Stewart Funeral Service, Vidalia Chapel with Rev Wayne McDaniel officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time for visitation. Interment will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
