Mr. Fred Ronald Simpson, age 81, of Lyons died Sunday April 7, 2019 at Brown’s Health and Rehab of Statesboro after an extended illness. Mr. Simpson was a native and lifelong resident of Lyons. He enjoyed growing up and working on his family’s farm. He previously attended Sharpe’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Simpson Sr. and Edith Simpson; his sister, Helen Ellison and his brother Jack Simpson. Ronald is survived by two nieces, Pat Offner of Melbourne FL and Wanda Cole of Tallahassee FL.
Funeral services for Mr. Fred Ronald Simpson will be held Friday April 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Carroll Gay officiating. Interment will follow privately at Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service.
