“Pops” Floyd E. Cooper, age 85, of Uvalda died Monday evening December 10, 2018 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Indiana where he lived for most of his life. He moved to Georgia in 2015. He was the owner/operator of his construction business. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was Baptist by Faith.
Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Timmy Cooper.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Patti Cooper of Uvalda; his son, Floyd Eugene Cooper Jr. of Gray; his daughter, Cherie; his brother Jack Cooper of Indiana; and his sister Annie Davis of Indiana. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
The Funeral Service for Mr. “Pops” Floyd E. Cooper will be held Monday at 3:00 PM at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Glennville with Pastor Tom Weger officiating.
