Mr. Vernon Monroe Rudd, age 70, of Lyons died Monday November 5, 2018, at Glenwood Healthcare of Glenwood after an extended illness. Vernon was a native of Alma, living most of his life in Toombs County, and had resided in Glenwood since 2018. He was a retired farmer and Baptist by Faith.
Vernon is survived by two daughters, Debbie Gillis of Lyons and Christy Pittman of Vidalia; two sons, Wilson Pittman of Lyons and John Pittman (Cynthia) of Hinesville; five grandchildren, Brandy, Caleb, Keilynn, Marvin and Felecia; and his close friend, Elmer Caraway.
Graveside Services for Mr. Vernon Monroe Rudd will be held Friday November 9, 2018 at Pinecrest Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Reverend Elmer Caraway officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday November 9, 2018 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
