Mr. Melvin Allen Kelly, age 69, of Vidalia died Sunday July 15, 2018 at Carl Vincent VA Medical Center of Dublin after an extended illness. Mr. Melvin was a native of Statesboro having lived in Vidalia for many years. He was a retired school teacher from Vidalia City Schools, and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was Christian by Faith.
Mr. Melvin is survived by many friends to include, Wendy and Mike Murray of Ailey; and their children, Whitney, Elice, Eric, and Michael.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Carl Vincent VA Medical Center Chapel on Saturday July 21, 2018.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

We were so sorry to hear about Coach Kelly. He was a great guy that would help you in any way he could. He did so much for Vidalia High School. God bless you Coach and Thank you for your friendship and all the help over the years.

I was so sad to read about Melvin Kelly passing. I worked with him for years at Vidalia High. He was always a thoughtful, generous, and kind man. He was so much more to everyone.
