Mr. Jimmy “Superman” Bridges, age 60, of Glenwood died early Saturday morning December 2, 2017 at Meadows Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Bridges was a native and lifelong resident of Glenwood. He was the former owner/operator of Jimmy Bridges Trucking and he was Baptist by Faith.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nina Bridges of Glenwood; his first son, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Jason Bridges and his wife Julie of Glenwood, Darrian Bridges and her husband Erik Torres, Hunter Bridges, Bailey Bridges, Jordan Bridges, Jaden Bridges, Jalie Bridges, Jase Torres and Tristen Torres, all of Glenwood. Jimmy is also survived by his second son, Jeremiah Bridges and two grandchildren, Reid Bridges and Walker Bridges of Glenwood; and three sisters, Patsy McBride of Cleveland TN, Kathy Gann of Cleveland TN, and Carol Jackson of Sparta TN.
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy “Superman” Bridges will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend WR Connell and Reverend B.L. Horne officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home in Glenwood Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
