Mr. Tony Wayne Poole “Hobo”, age 54, of Glenwood died Monday evening June 26, 2017 at Evans Memorial Hospital of Claxton after a sudden illness.
Tony was a native of Wheeler County who had resided in Claxton for just a short while. He was employed as a loader operator and crew leader.
He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Jack and Anne Herron Poole and his brother, William “Bimbo” Poole.
Tony is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Gary) Huerta of Ft. Drum NY, Erica Poole of Waynesville, NC, and Tonya Poole of Claxton; his brother, Curtis (Jodi) Poole of Mt. Vernon; his sister, Betty Ann Thigpen of Maggie Valley NC; and his partner in life, Shelia Atkins of Claxton. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Tony Wayne Poole “Hobo” will be held Saturday July 1, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the service.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Glenwood Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

I was so saddened to learn of Tony's death. He and Sheila are two of my favorite people. Sheila....call me at the bank or come by the next time you come this way. I love you girl and I will keep you on my prayers. My condolences to Tony's family.
