POOLER, GA - Peggy Sue Wynn McCoy, age 65, died Wednesday December 7, 2016 at Hospice House, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was born on August 28, 1951 in Soperton, GA and lived in Mount Vernon, GA for most of her life before moving to Pooler, GA to explore new adventures and finding the love of her life.
Peggy Sue was a Jill of all trades. Growing up on a farm she was raised to work hard, praise the Lord and love her family unconditionally. Due to her strong work ethic, she had several careers throughout the years to help support her family. Working road construction to opening her own fish market to working as a nursing assistant in a local nursing home to building her dream of her own hair and nail salon. For the past 16 years, she was the sole caregiver to her loving husband of over 25 years.
She leaves behind her husband John McCoy of Pooler, GA; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Darien Anderson of Mount Pleasant, SC, Robert and Cindy Owens of Vidalia, GA, David and Macey Owens of Vidalia, GA, and LeRone and Reagan Owens of Savannah, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Norman McSwain of Douglas, GA; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters.
She is preceded in death by her father John A. Wynn and mother Artie Faye Sellers Wynn, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral service will be held, Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
