Mr. Martin Wilcher, age 85, of Glenwood died early Thursday morning, June 23, 2016, at Fairview Park Hospital of Dublin after an extended illness.
Mr. Wilcher was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County. He was a retired farmer; a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War; former Wheeler County commissioner; and a member of Stuckey Baptist Church, where he served for many years as deacon and music director.
Mr. Wilcher is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sonja Jean Wilcher.
Mr. Wilcher is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty “Jane” Wilcher of Glenwood; son, Gregory Wilcher (Kaye) of Glenwood; sister, Ruth Daniel of Macon; and two grandchildren, Kyle Wilcher of Warner Robins and Kasey (Joseph) Page of Glenwood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Martin Wilcher will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM Stuckey Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Waters and Reverend Randall Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Stuckey Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the church from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

So very sorry for your loss, Mr. Martin was a great man. He is gone but not forgotten, he is in heaven singing with angels.
