Mr. Jimmy L. Pope, age 70, of Glenwood died Saturday evening, November 28, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Pope was a native and lifelong resident of Glenwood.
Jimmy was the owner and operator of J. Lynn Trucking; a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam; and a member of Glenwood Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Pope of Glenwod; his son, Lynn Pope and wife Susan of Glenwood; two sisters, Selena Sharpe and husband Howard of Lyons and Linda Quick of Tampa FL; and two grandchildren, Randa and Lucy Pope.
Graveside Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy L. Pope will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Edge Memorial Cemetery of Glenwood with Buddy Bell officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel Monday night from 6:00-8:00.
