Mrs. Evelyn Fountain, age 77, of Mt. Vernon died Sunday evening December 14, 2o14 at Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Fountain was a native and lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church where she was enrolled in the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Marvin W. Fountain of Mt. Vernon; her son, Warren Fountain and wife Kristi of Mt. Vernon; her daughter, Lisa Horton and husband Donnie of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Maudell White of Mt. Vernon and Barbara Clark of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren, Terra, Tamara, Mikayla, Trevor, Zach, Jordan, Conner and Jeremy; and one great-grandchild, Karmin.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Fountain will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Karl Hay officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
The family will gather at the residence of Lisa Horton at 450 Mt. Vernon-Alston Road in Mt. Vernon.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service of Vidalia is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

I am praying for your comfort and peace in Christ Jesus with whom your mother is now resting and seeing with her own eyes. I was out of town for the visitation, but will be present as part of the family on Wednesday.
