Mr. Ertis Vann, age 76, of Glenwood died Friday evening October 24, 2014, in Fairview Park Hospital of Dublin after a brief illness.
Mr. Vann was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County. He was a retired logger, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenwood.
Mr. Vann is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Russell; and his sister, Pauline Butler.
Ertis is survived by his wife, Mousey Vann of Glenwood; two sons, Thomas Vann and his wife Delinda of Glenwood, and Mickey Vann and his wife Lynette of Glenwood; two daughters Gina White and her husband John of Cochran, and Sandra Hunter and her husband Randy of Cochran; one step-daughter, Isabella Prosell and her husband Herbert of Germany; and four sisters, Christine Geiger of Adell, Carolyn Roberson of Blountstown FL, Sue Hendrix of Panama City FL, and Ann Thompson of Mt. Vernon. Thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ertis Vann will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend Stephen White officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service of Glenwood is in charge of funeral arrangements.

May God comfort and give you the strength Mousey and to all the family of Mr. Ertis in this time of loss. I thank God that he gave me the opportunity and privilege to know and have great memories of this wonderful man. He will truly be missed. My condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to all his family.

To Mousey and the family, we are sorry for your loss. Ertis was always a dear friend. and God surely broke the mold when he created him. A lot of good memories fishing,conversations and laughter. May God be with the family during this time.If you need anything please let us know.

Saddened to learn of Ertis passing away. When I reflect back on our time together, whether it be talking about sports or listening to one of Big E's fishing adventures, it always brings a smile to my face. May God comfort, strengthen, and bless you all.
