Mr. Clarke Jason “Bo” Akers, age 59, of Uvalda, died Saturday night July 12, 2014, at his residence after a sudden illness.

Bo was a native of Carrollton, GA and had resided in Uvalda for the past twenty five years. He was an employee of Wal-Mart of Vidalia for the past eighteen years. Bo was Primitive Baptist by faith.

Mr. Akers is survived by his brother Cheslie D. Akers and wife Molly of Uvalda, and his sister Charlene Rutherford and husband Gene of McDonough. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Clarke Jason Akers will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Gilbert Wommack officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrison-O’Neal Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8.
