Mr. Fred R. Williams, age 87, of Lyons went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 9, 2014 at Southland Health and Rehab of Peachtree City.
Mr. Williams was born in Jacksonville, FL, raised in Nashville GA and had resided in Lyons for 25 years before moving to Peachtree City to live with his family. Fred graduated from high school in Nashville GA where he later taught school. He attended Emory Jr. College for two years and graduated from Southern College of Pharmacy (Mercer). He worked as a Pharmacist at many drug stores during his career before retiring while serving as a Pharmacist at K-Mart. He was a World War II Veteran where he proudly served in the United States Navy. He was Baptist by Faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Kay Smith and her husband Jerry who are currently serving as missionaries in Russia; Kaye Braemer and husband Dan of Peachtree City and Sharon Chaar of Ocala, FL; his son, Daryl Buettner of Miami Beach, FL; his brother, Cyril Williams of Ocala, FL and two sisters, Meredith Williamson and Glenda Morgan, both of Jacksonville, FL. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Fred R. Williams will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Robbie Rosier officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.

SOPHISTICATION WILLOW BASKET SPRAY was sent by Mindy and Bill Jose. We will miss you Grandpa Fred. So glad your great grandkids got to know you, they are all touched by your warm smile and sweet way with them. We know you are at peace and happily home now. We love you. Mindy, Bill, Austin, Morgan and Hudson.
