Ms. Brenda McDaniel, age 58, of Mount Vernon died early Friday morning April 4, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness.

Brenda was a native of Dodge County and had lived in Montgomery County most of her life.  She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by two granddaughters, Amber Lee Mosley in 2014 and Mary Beth Mosley in 2014.

Ms. McDaniel is survived by her spouse, Randy Tharpe of Mount Vernon; her son, Edward Cartee of Statesboro; two daughters, Denise Gray of Register and Nikki Morgan of Dawsonville; and her sister, Cathy Parker of Mount Vernon.  Numerous grandchildren and other relatives also survive.


Funeral services for Ms. Brenda McDaniel will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Mount Vernon Pentecostal Church with Reverend Ray Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Crossing Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
