After 73 years living on this earth Cherry Owens has transferred her residence to the Kingdom of Heaven. The transfer comes as no surprise as material has been sent for decades. This material along with the Master Builder, Jesus Christ has provided a mansion that is shared with her husband Mr. Louie Owens. The property and citizenship was previously paid for by the blood of Christ. There is no mortgage, no taxes, no insurance, it is completely debt free, and all utilities have been paid for eternity. It is situated in a beautiful neighborhood where all the residences are called Saints. The city is located in a gated community, and if you know Jesus Christ, she will greet you just inside the gate.
Mrs. Owens’s family will receive friends for a celebration of her life at Oakdale Baptist Church in Cedar Grove on Thursday, September 26th at 2:00p.m. with a home going service to follow at 3:00p.m.
Celebrating her life here on earth are her children David Owens (Louise), Janet Owens, Penny Bannister, John Owens, and Debbie Hammons (Rev. Kevin). Her brother Ellis Kennedy and sisters Frances Garnto (Jerry) and Joyce Bryan will join in the celebration along with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

I know the saddness you are feeling of your Mom no longer here on earth and at the same time there is joy of her being in heaven with a new body and no more suffering. Cherry was a inspiration to many. I know she was to my Momma when we would see her she always had encouraging words to share.
You all have special memories and they will help you in the days to come, there will be tears and there will be laughter as you remember her. If there is anything I can do please let me know. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love Kay
