Mrs. Jewel Conner Foskey, age 82, of Uvalda died early Saturday morning, February 16, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Foskey was a native and lifelong resident of Uvalda. She was a homemaker and was a member of Charolette United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Foskey in 1999 and her infant son in 1952.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Rollins and husband Bill of Uvalda and Patsy McGowan of Uvalda; two brothers, Cecil Conner of Uvalda and J.B. Conner of Brunswick; special niece, Bonnie Williamson and husband Larry of Uvalda; five grandchildren, Thad Williamson, LeSha Pickren, Kyle Rollins, Brittany Strickland, Lindsey Pittman, all of Uvalda. Eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jewel Conner Foskey will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Vidalia Chapel of Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service with Reverend Reece Mincey ,Reverend Shareon Womack and Dr. Bill Vansant officiating. Interment will follow in Dead River Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 until 8pm. The family will gather at the residence of Bill and Phyllis Rollins in Uvalda.
