Mrs. Mary Moses, age 95, of Uvalda died Sunday morning December 30, 2012 at Oxley Park Health and Rehab in Lyons after a brief illness.
Mrs. Moses was a native of Talbot County and had lived in Uvalda for the past 70 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher and the oldest member of the Uvalda Methodist Church.
Mrs. Moses is preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Moses, in 2004 and grandson Michael D. Moses in 2012.
She is survived by two sons, Martin Moses and wife Kathy of Uvalda and Mickey Moses and wife Cyndi Roche of Louisville Ga.; one brother, Gene Harris of Bradenton Fl.; one sister, Ruth Wrinkle of Hapeville Ga.; four grandchildren, Ashley Moses, Luke Moses, Logan Moses and Brett Thompson and three great-grandchildren, Dusty and Ricky Taylor and Katie Thompson.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Moses will be held Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from the Uvalda City Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Reverend Shareon Womack officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday evening December 31, 2012 from 6 until 8 pm. The family requests that contributions be made to the Uvalda Methodist Church.
