Mr. John L. Kinney Jr., age 62, of Alston, died Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Meadows Health after an extended illness. John was a native of San Diego, California, having lived in Alston since 2002. He was a truck driver and Methodist by Faith.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elgamarie Kinney.

John is survived by three sons, John Lee Kinney III of Russelville, Kentucky, Bennie Ray Kinney of Russelville, Kentucky, and Joshua Breeder of Hazlehurst; one brother, James Kinney of Alston; four sisters, Janet Louise Hill of Alston, Joyce Kinney of Lyons, Jennifer Lorraine Kinney of Alston, and Julianne Miles of Hawkinsville. Three grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. John L. Kinney Jr. will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 3:00 pm with Reverend Efton Green officiating. Interment will follow at Moseley Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
