In life there is an appropriate time for everything.  To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away, a time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.

Mrs. Ineze “Penny” Shaw is now at peace and rest as she went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020, peacefully at her residence. Penny was a resident and lifetime native of Toombs County. Penny was a member of the Vidalia First United Methodist Church and was a member of the ERA Alexander Sunday school class.  She was also a member of the WML and American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the Cadet Nursing Corps.  During World War II Penny attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing and Georgia Southern University. Penny was a wonderful lady who lived her life for Christ our Savior, loved life and enjoyed all the blessings it offered her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Shaw is preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Shaw; and one beautiful sweet daughter, Dr. Freddie S. Hepner.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by one son, Eddie R. (Ann) Shaw of Candler County; and one daughter, Jill S. (Bruce) Lehman, of Candler County. Six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Ineze “Penny” Shaw will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend David Blalock and Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Visitation with the family will be held after the service.

In Lieu of flowers remembrances may be donated to the Vidalia First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 209 Church Street, Vidalia, GA 30474.
