Mrs. Julia Keel Spivey, age 88, of Lyons, died Wednesday afternoon March 18, 2020 after an extended illness. Julia was a native and a life-long resident of Toombs County. Julia was retired from Thomas & Betts and was Baptist by faith.
Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Spivey; one sister, Jackie Thigpen; and one brother, Bill Keel.
Julia is survived by one son, Derwin Spivey of Lyons; four daughters, Shirley (Charles) Gillis of Tarrytown, Judy (Mike) Wiggins of Lyons, Connie (Granville) Morrison of Lyons, and Melanie (Terry) Wilkes of Lyons; one sister, Tiny Davis of Vidalia; and one sister in law, Barbara Keel of Lyons. Fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of great friends at the oaks assisted living in Vidalia also survive.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Julia Keel Spivey will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Bill Black will be officiating.
Interment will follow.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 982 Providence Church road, Lyons Ga 30436.
