On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, James Allen Boone passed away at the age of 54 following an extended illness. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Angela; his daughter, Shanna (Jason); his son, Holden (Shelby); his four grandchildren, Jake, Jase, Lily, and Michael; his mother, Hilda; step-father, William; his brother, Randell (Laurie); his sister, Brenda (Gerry); his “other” mother, Barbara (Rick); brother in law, Kevin, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
James was the local “Mr. Fixit” and he believed that if he couldn’t fix it, well, duct tape could. He was a loving husband, Daddy, and Poppi, but people in the community often simply referred to him as Boone, Coach, and The Chimney Man. To many, he was a hero.
James had a love-filled heart and a passion for helping people. He spent many nights pulling cars out of muddy ditches, and warming peoples’ homes by making last minute visits to light gas logs. He was the go-to guy when anyone needed anything, and will be greatly missed, especially by his family and fellow Kibbee residents. Home was his happy place, especially when surrounded by his family, and he was often seen out and about riding his mule around the farm.
James always had a love for Christ, but this love multiplied in his last year of life. He became a living testimony and witnessed to everyone who crossed his path. He would ask every nurse, doctor, and chimney customer, “Do ya know Jesus?” It is certain that he had a glorious Heavenly reunion, where he received the new, healthy body that he so badly wanted.
Memorial Services for James Allen Boone will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00AM at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Mark Jones and Reverend Kenny Edge officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
