Mr. Billie Darden, age 73, of Lyons died Tuesday afternoon July 30, 2019 peacefully in his home after an extended illness. Billie was a native of Mount Vernon, and lived most of his life as a resident of Toombs County. Billie was Baptist by faith.  Billie was a devoted loving husband, father, and friend, and was a retired, skilled carpenter and painter by trade.

Billie is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

Billie is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Darden of 55 years, one daughter Annette Collins of Vidalia, one brother Jackie Darden of Vidalia, two sisters Christine Cone of Lyons, Evelyn Herring of Lyons, two grandchildren Christopher and Aneshia Collins, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Billie Darden will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Ronnie L Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Mitch Bellflower will be officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday August 1, 2019 from 6-8 at Ronnie L Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel.
