Mrs. Peggy Lane Rogers, age 59, originally from Vidalia, resided in Waynesboro for the past 25 years. Peggy went home to be with our Lord early Saturday morning. Peggy fought the last year with cancer, but our awesome God won that fight and called her to Heaven on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Peggy is survived by one son, Christopher Strickland of Waynesboro; one daughter, Jessie Creamer (Lee) of Cedar Crossing; one sister and brother-in-law; Teri Lane Johnson and (Allen) of Vidalia; one brother, Jimmy Lane (Debbie) of Reidsville; six grandchildren, Lexi Hutto Fox of and Brody Hutto, both of Vidalia, Logan and Audrey Strickland, both of Augusta, and Bentley and Braxton Creamer both of Cedar Crossing. Her nephew, Benjamin Johnson; her nieces, Theresa Lane Bartlett, Alisha Lane Dutton, and Kayla Lane Blocker, and a very special cousin Marie Jackson of Garfield. Several great nieces and nephews and several special friends also survive.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Tony Rogers; her parents, Joyce Lane Parrish and Ben Lane; and her niece, Brittany Lynne Johnson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Lane Rogers will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00AM at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Nathan Smith officiating. The committal service will follow at 2:30PM at Millen City Cemetery with Reverend Wilma Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
