Mr. Charles Eugene McCumbers, age 74, of Oak Park died Tuesday morning May 14, 2019 at Signature Health Care of Savannah after an extended illness. 

Mr. McCumbers was a native of Waycross and lived most of his life in Oak Park.  He was the former owner/operator of B&G Tree Service and attended Lyons Senior High.  He was Church of God by Faith.

Mr. McCumbers is preceded in death by his wife, Gaynell McCumbers; his daughters, Sheila McCumbers and Shannon Stephens; and his siblings, Charles Junior McCumbers, Virginia Ruth McCumbers Fields, Carolyn McCumbers and Wayne McCumbers.

He is survived by two brothers, Lonnie McCumbers (Debbie) of Jacksonville FL and Jackie McCumbers (Vickie) of Soperton; one sister, Betty Jo Thompson of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Eugene McCumbers will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Curtis Rhoden officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Park City Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday from 2:30 until the hour of the service.
