Ms. Betty Jean Phelps, age 61, of Lyons died late Saturday night, February 9, 2019 at Memorial Health of Savannah after a brief illness. 

Ms. Phelps was a native of Belle Glade Florida and had lived most of her life in Toombs County.  She was a homemaker and Church of God by Faith.

Ms. Phelps is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Juanita Brannan; four brothers, Fred, Norman, Mann and Robert Brannan; and two sisters, Nellie Dean Fish and Geneva Rountree.

Betty Jean is survived by her son Robert Phelps (Amanda) of Ailey; her daughter, Melina Collins (Darriel) of Lyons; two brothers, William Brannan of Jacksonville FL and James Brannan of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Ms. Betty Jean Phelps will be held Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Wayne Rountree officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.
