Mrs. Pam Marcum “Tweety Bird” Griggers, age 65, of Lyons died Sunday afternoon August 5, 2018 at her residence after an extended illness.
Pam was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County where she was the first female magistrate judge with 27 years of service. Afterwards, she worked as a financial field representative. Pam was a charter member of Eastern Star, Toombs Chapter #546; member of Daughter of The Nile; Rana Temple of Savannah, and past queen; member of Order of the Amaranth Georgia court #1 of Savannah; member of White Shrine of Jacksonville FL; member of ABWA; member of the American Legion Auxiliary; member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Todd Dickerson post member of Women of The Moose; the first Lioness of the Lyons Lions Club serving as secretary for several years; and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Pelma Marcum; and her sister and brother, Susie Marcum and Jimmy Marcum.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Griggers of Lyons; three daughters, Pel Collins of Waycross, Dottie Griggers of Raleigh N.C., and Autumn Londo of Colorado Springs CO; one son, Peyton Griggers of Piedmont S.C.; three sisters, DeAnn Odom of Lyons, Polly Cowart of Reidsville, and Brenda Waters of Glenville; and Eight grandchildren, Addison Baldree, Analyn Baldree, Adriel Collins, Peyton Griggers, Catherine Griggers, William Griggers, Jayden Londo and Mason Londo also survive.
Going Home Services for Mrs. Pam Marcum Griggers will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend H.G. Ridgdill, Reverend Ricky Wilson, Reverend Gaynor Ridgdill and Pastor John Barnett officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
