Mr. Richard C. “Rick” Thigpen, age 63, of Vidalia died Friday night June 22, 2018 at Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta after a brief illness.  

Mr. Thigpen was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County.  He was a retired communication technician and was employed by the State of GA.  He was an avid Ham Radio Operator and he was a member of Valley Life Christian Center.

Rick is survived by his wife, Loleita Thigpen of Vidalia; his son, Richard M. Thigpen and his wife Karen of Vidalia; his daughter, Rebecca A. Thigpen of Vidalia; his brother, Billy Thigpen of Center and his grandson, David N. Thigpen of Vidalia.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
