Mr. Johnnie Jack NeeSmith, age 77, of Glenwood died Friday evening, April 27, 2018, at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness. Johnnie Jack was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County. He was the owner/operator of BJ Mobile Carriers and Johnnie Jack ‘s Mobile Home Park in Wheeler County. He loved the outdoors, and being around people. He was Church of God by Faith.
Mr. NeeSmith is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Blandeler NeeSmith; his Infant brother; and his sister, Becky Horne.
Johnnie Jack is survived by his son, Johnny C. NeeSmith (Deborah) of Vidalia; four daughters, Patricia Edwards of Lyons, Deborah Fountain (Danny) of Mt. Vernon, Judy Edge (Jody) of Alamo, and Rhonda Taylor of Uvalda; granddaughter that he raised Charlotte NeeSmith 0f Santa Claus; two sisters, Nancy Keegan of Walterboro SC and Bonnie Frake (Rusty) of Walterboro SC; and his brother-in-law Ralph Horne of Kibbee. Nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to say “thank you” to mother of his children Carolyn Oliver and to his former wife Charlotte Mathis for their love and support.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Jack NeeSmith will be held Friday, May 4 2018, at 4 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Pastor Michael Plowman officiating. Interment will follow at Long Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
Flowers are accepted or donations in his memory can be made to the Daniel Baptist Association Glenwood Church Plant which is at Johnnie Jack’s mobile home park.
