Mr. Greg James, age 28, of Vidalia died Sunday, March 4, 2017, at Memorial Health of Savannah after a brief illness. Mr. James was a native of Waycross, Georgia and had lived in Vidalia for the past 27 years. He was the manager at Keep It Clean Car wash of Vidalia and a member of Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia.
Greg is preceded in death by his son, Little Greg, in 2014.
Greg is survived by his wife, Amy James of Vidalia; three sons, Damien Edwards, Ethan Stewart, and Levi James, all of Vidalia; one daughter, Alissa James of Vidalia; his Mom and Father, Christy and Carl King of Calhoun; Dad and Momma, Bill and Becky James of Vidalia; maternal grandmother, Pamela (Johnny) Adams of Vidalia; paternal grandmothers Mary James and Mollie Purcell; four brothers, Ryan James of East Dublin, Jonathan James of Vidalia, Bradley Stewart of Calhoun, and Brad Ford of Vidalia; and two sisters, Caitlin Stewart of Calhoun and Denise Carey of Vidalia.
Funeral services for Mr. Greg James will be held Saturday March 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Chester Proctor and Reverend William Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Chester Proctor and Reverend William Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 PM on Friday afternoon.
