Mr. Raymond Florez III, age 46, of Lyons died Thursday evening, August 11, 2016, at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Florez was a native of Michigan and had resided in Toombs County for the past 22 years.  He was a commercial truck driver and was Catholic by Faith.

Mr. Florez is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Hernandez.

Raymond is survived by his father, Ramon Florez (Lisa Florez) of Lyons; his mother, Yolanda Florez  of Austin, TX; three sons, Gabriel R. Florez of Lyons, Ryan C. Castro of Dade City, FL, and Raymond Florez IV of Lyons; two daughters, Vanessa Florez of Lyons and Stefani Y. Florez of Lyons; three brothers, Terry Florez of Austin, TX, Baldamar Florez of Ohio and Joe Rios of Texas; one sister, Vickie Florez of Austin, TX; and three grandchildren, Jose Pacheco Jr. of Lyons, Aryia Castro of Dade City, FL, and Kaylon Castro of Dade City, FL.

The Funeral Mass for Mr. Raymond Florez III will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Ben Dallas officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel from 3:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary Service scheduled at 7:30 pm.
