Mrs. Sheila Marie Garrett, age 42, of Lyons died early Friday morning, April 8, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Garrett was a native of Miami Beach, Florida, living there many years before moving to Lyons in 1983. She was a cook employed with Chatters restaurant of Lyons and a member of First Baptist Church Lyons.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband, Anthony Garrett of Lyons; parents, Charles and Gaynell McCumbers of Oak Park; one brother, William Turner of Hilliard, Florida; and three sisters, Shannon Stephens of Oak Park, Christina Velte of Waycross, and Stephanie Taylor of Fayetteville, Alabama. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Ashley and Autumn Garrett of Port Wentworth.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila Marie Garrett will be Monday, April 11, 2016, at 1:00 PM at Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Ray Wood and Reverend Ronnie Collins officiating. A private interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
