Mrs. Jewell Snellgrove Heath, age 77, of Lumber City died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Jeff Davis County Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Heath was a native and lifelong resident of Telfair County. She was a homemaker and Church of God by faith.
Mrs. Heath is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Heath, in 2013.
Mrs. Heath is survived by two sons, Steve Heath and wife Rhonda of Lumber City, and Charles Heath and wife Diane of Lumber City; two daughters, Debbie Thigpen of Lumber City, and Peggy Nail of Hazlehurst; three brothers, Donald Wayne Snellgrove of Washington state, Ray Snellgrove of Claxton, and Murl Snellgrove of South Carolina; and one sister, Roberta Hearn of Ailey; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Snellgrove Heath will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend Perry Hearn officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
