Mrs. Glenda Wrenn Inman, beloved wife of Jesse Linton Inman, passed away on December 12, 2015 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia, GA.

    Born and raised in Tattnall County as the youngest child of Remer and Annie Findley Wrenn, she was welcomed into the world in 1938 by seven sisters and three brothers.  She was a graduate of Collins High School.

   The Inmans were married in 1957 in Savannah and would have celebrated their 58th anniversary on December 14.  They lived in Savannah and in Chattanooga, TN, Albany, GA, and Montgomery, AL before moving to Lyons about 25 years ago. Residence in Toombs County recognized their mutual heritage, which was pioneered by the Wrenn and Inman families who settled in the area in the early 1800s. They were involved in numerous church and community activities until recent illnesses.

   Mrs. Inman was a member of Lyons First United Methodist Church, Sunday School, and the Chancel Choir. She enjoyed singing and appeared in several performances of the folklore play Tales of the Altamaha. She was a member of the Lions Club and the Lyons Merchants Association and was the owner of the infant to toddler clothing and furniture store Baby 2 T’s on SE Broad Street in Lyons.  She was the former owner and operator of Glenda’s Gallery Hallmark Store in Montgomery AL.

    She is survived by her husband Jesse Inman of Lyons, son and daughter-in-law Hunter and Laura Inman, and grandsons Brandon and Joshua Inman, all of Lyons. Two sisters, Joyce Collins, Lyons, and Penny Haag, Hendersonville, TN, and a large extended family of nieces and nephews will also cherish her memory.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Lucile Cochran, Gordon Wrenn, Billie Inman, Elaine Dickey, Marjorie Milligan, May Templeton, Rabun Wrenn, and James Wrenn.

    Memorial donations may be sent to Community Hospice Services, 904 Mount Vernon Rd., Vidalia, GA 30474 or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Glenda Wrenn Inman will be held on Monday December 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lyons First United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Morrow officiating.  The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
