Carrie Jo Mosley, 71, of Tallahassee passed away of lung cancer on July 24, 2015.
Carrie was born November 23, 1943 in Savannah, Georgia to Bob and Melba Womac. She married Carl Mosley August 11, 1960. They lived together primarily in Dublin, Georgia. Mr. Mosley worked as a maintenance engineer for the State of Georgia while Mrs. Mosley cared for their home. Mrs. Mosley enjoyed landscaping, gardening, cooking and spending time caring for her family.
Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Woman.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Carleen Cox (H. Lamar) of Tallahassee; sons, Daniel Carlton Mosley of Newnan, Ga., and Joseph Clinton Mosley (Lourdes A.) of Tallahassee; grandchildren, John Mosley, Joella Mosley, Lauren Mosley, Savannah Mosley, Tonya Lewis and Dwane Cox; great-grandchild, Destani Lewis; sisters, Fay Hicks of and Sherry Pitcock of Tennessee.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from one o’clock until three o’clock in the afternoon, at Bevis Funeral Home, in Tallahassee, Florida. The service will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2298 Johnson Corner Road, Lyons, Georgia.
