Mr. Elroy Odom Jr., 61, of Cadillac Drive in Vidalia, died Tuesday morning, October 28, 2014 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Odom was a native of Miami and had resided in Vidalia for the past 10 years. He was a retired mechanic and was last employed by Nissan of Vidalia. He was Baptist by Faith.
Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Juanita Odom Jr.; his brother, Robert McNeely; and his step grandson, Timmy Kirkland.
Elroy is survived by his fiancé, Jeanette Graham Clark of Vidalia; a special aunt, Mary Lou Hendrix and husband Frank of Metter; two step-daughters, Lisa Copeland and husband DeWayne of Vidalia, and Natasha Clark and fiancé Ruben Brown of Vidalia; one step-son, Anthony Shane Denmark and wife Haley of Uvalda; two sisters, Lucille Farris and husband Bill of Twin City and Edna Lee and husband Joe of Ft. Myers, FL; and six step-grandchildren, Cody Kirkland, Skyler Denmark, Kelsey Denmark, Josh Smith, Wesley Smith and Haven Brown.
Funeral Services for Mr. Elroy Odom Jr. will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend John Daughtry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the hour of the service.
