Mr. Ertis Vann, age 76, of Glenwood died Friday evening October 24, 2014, in Fairview Park Hospital of Dublin after a brief illness.
Mr. Vann was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County. He was a retired logger, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenwood.
Mr. Vann is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Russell; and his sister, Pauline Butler.
Ertis is survived by his wife, Mousey Vann of Glenwood; two sons, Thomas Vann and his wife Delinda of Glenwood, and Mickey Vann and his wife Lynette of Glenwood; two daughters Gina White and her husband John of Cochran, and Sandra Hunter and her husband Randy of Cochran; one step-daughter, Isabella Prosell and her husband Herbert of Germany; and four sisters, Christine Geiger of Adell, Carolyn Roberson of Blountstown FL, Sue Hendrix of Panama City FL, and Ann Thompson of Mt. Vernon. Thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ertis Vann will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend Stephen White officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
