Mr. Martin Medina, age 40, of Glenwood died Saturday afternoon at Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a sudden illness.

Mr. Medina was a native of Mexico and had lived most of his life in Glenwood.  He was employed at Horne Pinestraw of Glenwood and was Catholic by Faith.

Martin is survived by his parents, Guillermo and Juana Medina of Mexico; his daughter, Julie Medina of Mexico; four brothers, Candelario Medina of Glenwood, Evodio Medina of Glenwood, Juan Medina of Glenwood and Alonso Medina of Mexico; four sisters, Guillermina Medina, Enedina Medina, Dora Elia Medina and Lydia Medina, all of Mexico; his uncle, Lucio Medina of Glenwood and his nephew, Alex Medina of Glenwood.

The Funeral Mass for Mr. Martin Medina will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Chapel of Glenwood.  Interment will follow at the family residence.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
