Mrs. Mildred McDaniel, age 88, of Glenwood died early Wednesday morning in Glenwood Healthcare, after an extended illness.
Mildred was a native of Montgomery County, and lived most of her life in Glenwood. She was a retired seamstress. She was a member of the Glenwood First Baptist Church.
Mrs. McDaniel is preceded in death by her husband, Leon “Pee Wee” McDaniel, her daughter Sue Powell, her son Timmy McDaniel, and her infant son.
She is survived by her brother, William Harry Montford, of Deerfield Beach, FL; her sister, Betty M. Thomas, of Alamo; two granddaughters, Casey Brantley, of Soperton, Melanie Finnegan, of Knox, TN; and her grandson, Hunter McDaniel, of Statesboro. Several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred McDaniel will be held Saturday March 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Glenwood First Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Hammons and Reverend Walter Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
