Mrs. Josephine Anita Story Behrens, age 78, of Fort Pierce, FL died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Broadmoor Assisted Living Facility of Fort Pierce after an extended illness.
Mrs. Behrens was an Attorney at Law who graduated from San Fernando Valley College of Law. She formerly sat as Judge Pro Tem and was an Attorney for the Supreme Court of the United States of America where she served as an Assistant United States Attorney. She was a past Secretary and Director of San Fernando Valley Women Lawyer’s Association; President of San Fernando Valley Alumni Association; and a former San Fernando Valley College Board Trustee.
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Joseph Cooper in 1981, and her brother William Kenneth Story of Ft. Pierce in 2009 and special dear friend of over 20 years, Moreno “Papa Joe” Johansen.
Mrs. Behrens is survived by two daughters, Kathy Sharon Headley of Nampa, ID and Deborah Jean Fritton of Ft. Pierce, FL; one son, Gregory Raymond Behrens of Valencia, CA; one sister, Hazel Bliss of Longmont, CO; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Josephine Anita Story Behrens will be held Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 11 AM Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Bucky Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Connell/Story Cemetery near Mt. Vernon.
