Mrs. Ann Mock, age 83, of Mt. Vernon died Saturday morning, February 15, 2014 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness.
Mrs. Mock was a native of Montgomery County, lived some years in Savannah and returned to Mt. Vernon in 1975. She retired from Brewton Parker College as a Bookkeeper, was a member of VFW Auxiliary and also American Legion Auxiliary. She was previously active in the Montgomery County Food Pantry and was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Hudman Mock of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Greg Hutcheson and wife Karen of Vidalia, Ron Mock and wife Victoria of Mt. Vernon, Don Mock and wife Joanna of Ailey; her brother, Robert Lee McAllister Jr. of Savannah; two sisters, Barbara Cameron and Gale Tidwell, both of Wilmington Island; seven grandchildren, Kim Hutcheson, Shannon Renteria, Carolyn Mock Toler and husband Jamie, Ronnie Mock Jr. and wife Ashley, Casey Hutcheson, Tyler Hutcheson, and Tye Lewis; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ann Mock will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at United Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon with Reverend Arnold Raj officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
