Mrs. Barbara Ann Ray, age 71, of 674 Coogan Williams Road, Vidalia, died late Sunday evening, May 12, 2013 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mrs. Ray was a native of Jasper, GA and had lived in Vidalia for the past 30 years.  She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Holiness Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie A. Ray, in 1994.

She is survived by two sons; Danny Key of Woodstock, GA and Roy Key of Adairsville; two daughters, Wanda Champion of Cohutta, GA and Charlotte Foskey of Vidalia; two step-sons, Danny Ray of Valdosta and Phil Ray of California; two step-daughters, Sheila Knight of Valdosta and Talisa of Jacksonville FL; one sister, Barbara Jean Barnett of Oakborough, NC; twelve grandchildren and eight great grand-children.

Funeral Services for Barbara Ann Ray will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Reverend Roy Grimes, Reverend Junior Rowe and Reverend Bill Vansant officiating.  Interment will follow in Snow Hill Community Church Cemetery near Glenwood.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service.
