Mrs. Bobbie Jean Powell, age 70, of Glenwood died Tuesday morning, April 16 in the Accord Nursing Center in Glenwood after an extended illness.  Mrs. Powell was a native of Treutlen County and had resided in Glenwood for the past 15 years.  She was a retired realtor and was Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Powell is survived by the father of her children, Hurley Goss of Glenwood; three daughters, Vickie Johnson and her husband, Mike of East Dublin, Lori Anderson and her husband, Randy of Mt. Vernon, Laura Boyd and her husband, Jesse of Glenwood; one son, Sonny Goss and his wife, Jeannie of Glenwood; three brothers, Ervin Price of Blackshear, Tex Price of Soperton and Jerry Price of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Billie Faye Wise of Cartersville and Joyce Ackerman of Metter.  Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Powell will be conducted Friday morning, April 19 at 11:00 from the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service, Glenwood Chapel with Kelly Toler and Rodney Horne officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date.
