Mr. Robin C. Odom, age 56, of Lyons passed away Monday evening March 18, 2013 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lyons.
Mr. Odom was an Electrician and served in the National Guard. He was a Mason and also a Shriner. Robin was an aviation enthusiast who had his private ATP pilot license.
Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Reva and Dorothy Odom and his sister, Dorothy Gail Odom
He is survived by two daughters, Christy Michelle Odom of Columbus and Renee Gay of Lyons; one brother, Brian Odom of Guyton; three sisters, Angela Gilchrist of McDonough, Miriam Robinson of Guyton and Dawn Thompson of Lyons; and two grandchildren, Peyton and Alexie Carroll of Lyons.
Funeral Services for Robin C. Odom will be held Thursday afternoon March 21, at 2:00 P.M. at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Barry Giddens and Reverend Roy White officiating. Interment will follow in Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor or Robin may be made to Shriners Hospital for children at, Shriners International Headquarters 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, Fl 33607.
